Videos
My filming work leans towards documentary, action and run-and-gun storytelling: real people, real movement and moments that don’t patiently wait for a second take.
Editing is a different story.
If the footage already exists, I can cut and shape just about anything. Interviews, events, brand films, documentaries, social content and long-form video all become sharper once the dead weight is gone and the story has room to breathe.
Whether I’m behind the camera or working with footage shot elsewhere, the goal is the same: make something worth watching.
Jeff & Sim Wedding Video
I received the raw footage from our wedding videographer and edited it into the film my wife and I wanted to keep. It was an empathic, focused and intuitive edit, built around the moments that meant the most to us.
Retouch - Blemish Removal
A distracting blemish on the wedding dress, removed cleanly in post-production. Careful retouching kept the fabric, movement and lighting looking natural, with no obvious trace of the fix.
Short Podcast Clips: Behind the Scenes
A look behind the scenes at how long-form podcast footage becomes sharp, eye-catching social content. Finding the hook, tightening the story and building short clips made to stop the scroll.
Red Bull x Vans - BMX Day
Big tricks, hard slams and the Cape Town BMX community showing up in force. A fast-moving event edit capturing the riding, energy and chaos of the day.
MusicAppreciated: Takura Terry
Takura Terry is one of the reasons I started musicAppreciated: to spotlight music I rate, the people making it and what’s happening inside their heads. A relaxed, focused conversation shaped into a full video podcast episode.
Gym Equipment: InBody Kit
A video filmed for a South African gym, based in Gansbaai, tailored to their local audience. Shot, colour-graded, and edited by YVC according to the owner's specifications and branding.
